Sometimes I miss the way I used to be,
Since the world changed unknowingly.
Even though my dreams were far fetched,
Thinking about it gave me a kind of happiness.
After gaining what I had lost once,
Longing for it more showed my weakness.
This made me grow up a bit in the midst,
And now my heart is in a state of complete bliss.
When I see you walking away to never turn back,
My eyes go wet and yours are no dry.
Its raining and I cannot see your tears,
So, its still okay.!
When I see you fall and get up back,
I wanna hold you and you wish I was by your side.
Its late and you wanna be strong,
So, its still okay..!
When I try to forget you but memories keep coming back,
I wanna run to you and you wanna wait for me too.
Its dark and you are at a better place,
So, its still okay…!

I wanna lie down
in the shadow of the sun,
And feel the breeze
all along the run.

I wanna touch the blue sky
with my legs up high,
And see the clouds
coming down as I try.
~
I wanna build a home for me
in the snow,
And stare at the snow flakes
rising up in a row.
~
I wanna stand at the point
where the sky meets the sea,
And run towards the sea shore
feeling as free as I can be.
~
I wanna fall from the uphill
waving the sky a goodbye,
And suddenly spring up the parachute
to land up a new life.
I have tied the string of my life with you, take it
How will the storms of this world break it.
We could never be together and whole,
We are two bodies and one soul.
Even if there is darkness all around,
Even if dark clouds surround,
And raging thunder pours,
I’ll be yours.
Stay close, stay absorbed in my life,
Like the kohl that mingles in my eyes.
Your image is in my mind making me thine,
Your name and my heartbeat intertwine,
Bolstering, strengthening, making way.
I long for your sight each day.
I am bestowed with this boon for infinity,
I found you as if I found divinity,
Now we will be together forever.
The colour of this love will never
Ever fade till the end of time.
I will be your soulmate and you mine.
Take this fair form of mine
Give me that dusky hue divine
So that I can blend with this night’s mystery
For all I want is my beloved’s company.
My honour tugs at my feet
While desire pulls at my arms
To venture out and go meet
Him and be captive to his charms.
I really don’t know which way to go
Wish someone could tell me and take me in tow.
And oh! You wretched moon
Why did you have to remove the silken shrouds
You have revealed my colour as I swoon
While you smile, gaping bright through the clouds.
Hope you too go through tough times
For making a plaything of these climes
I have lost something but gained a lot
I have got something but now I am in a spot.
Where are you taking me, my heart
After shaking my world apart ?
You are the moon that illuminates the skies,
I am the dust of Earth that aimlessly flies.
You are the God of love, my paramour,
I am a flower offered in your splendour.
You are the prayer and I am the priest,
I am the thirst and you the nectar that quenches it.
You are the limitless borders of an ocean,
I am a little wave on the jetty.
You are the notes of classical music,
I am an incomplete symphony.
You are the body and I am your shadow,
I am an error and you the power to let go.
You are the radiance of dawn,
The vermilion sun on the horizon,
You have been the echo of my breath from the start,
The joyous peacock that dances in my heart.
This dewy night,
This ethereal ambience,
There a mighty moon bright,
Dazzles with its magnificence.

Why is the moonlight now quiet
After lighting up this fire?
The mixed signals of the weather
Have put our night into a quagmire.
♥
A sapphire blue sky, a dainty breeze,
These moist buds as if comatose,
In these setting of idyllic ease,
And fervent, free flowing prose.
♥
Why is this heart losing patience,
Why am I not in a state of bliss,
Why this life seeks cadence,
As if there was something amiss.
♥
My heart seeks that impossible dream
That I couldn’t find in broad daylight.
Or maybe I search for my lost sheen
In the dazzle of this night.
♥
Is there no one who remembers me
Even if by some stroke of chance,
He who would smile devastatingly
And instantly put me in a trance.
